10 Lessons Learned

1. Living together before marriage, even in separate bedrooms, is not honoring to God. Goodbye spare bedroom, hello Wiflers!

2. Female dogs that are not fixed, have a "cycle".  Lord be with me, this dog has gotten even more ornery!

3. Smashing an entire king size bag of peanut M&M's into a box of brownies is not as good as it sounds.

4. A three season room is the perfect place for a dartboard and Twins posters.

5. Running without an i-pod is liberating. There are so many better things that my mind can be doing than committing Ke$ha lyrics to memory.

6. Yoga/pilates is not a strange form of torture, they can actually be relaxing!

7. My next job will not require 8 hours a day at a computer with no human interaction.

8. Wedding planning without the internet is impossible. My goodness, 8 days without the internet was tough!

Just a little insight into my/our week. More fun to come :)

Let the dog training begin.

Dreams and thoughts about my first home never included a yippy, rambunctious puppy but sometimes real life doesn't pan our according to our dreams.  Lucky for me, I've got a man who is worth it :)

My two life-savers thus far:

This gate limits little Mia to two rooms of the house and provides Melissa with four rooms of freedom. It is such a beautiful thing.  Mia often peeks her head over the top watching us in the kitchen or whines because she feels left out.

Thus the second necessary item of dog training. The muzzle. I can simply hold this thing up above the dog and she goes trotting off to the opposite side of the room.

Unfortunately Mia has not yet mastered keeping her trap shut, so we are forced to use it quite regularly.  Then she pouts.

We are 4 days in and 0 accidents!!

We are in!

This past week has been a lot of this:

And this:

Thank goodness we have some A-MAZING friends who were willing to give up their Saturday mornings and now our new place is looking like this:

Of course things are still in the works and a lot of decorating is yet to be done...but we are in and loving in!! Guests are welcome as long as you don't mind a small and slightly irritating dog :)

Why I can't wait until April.

1. I get the marry the love of my life.
2. April rent is already paid (by accident, Wells Fargo bill pay is super confusing!).
3. A week on a beach with my hubby.
4. There are 3 pay-days - jackpot!
5. I'll be Mrs. Pearson.
6. It has GOT to get warmer.
7. A month of new and exciting beginnings.
8. Easter. The most precious and life-changing holiday.
9. Did I mention that I will be Mrs. Pearson?
10. April showers bring May flowers!

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying being up to my neck with wedding details, loading and unloading boxes in all of my freetime, living out of a suitcase and being stuck inside all hours of the day...but I REALLY can't wait until April.
